Studio Speciaal x Frits Achten - Cabinet, Sculpture - Compound Cabinet

This cabinet is a collaboration between Studio Speciaal and sculptor Frits Achten. A collectible piece in which two contrasting worlds collide. The solid weight of the rock suspended in the open wooden framework, and the opaque compartment serving as a visual counterweight. This creates a balance between thoughtfulness and intuition. About Studio Speciaal Studio Speciaal is an interdisciplinary design studio based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. As a studio we balance between the disciplines of design, technology and art. Our work is characterized by conceptual value, rich materialization and high quality craftmanship. We create self-initiated work and work on commission. Our commissioned projects vary from very abstract questions to specific assignments. Due to our diverse approach, we always look for the most suitable solutions, forms and materials.
