Studio Wieki Somers - Teapot - High Tea Pot

This teapot from Studio Wieki Somers and is inspired by the skull of a pig. The tea cosy is made of rat fur. A delightful shock, a clash of conflicting thoughts. During her working period at Sundaymorning@ewkc, this teapot was worked on. Studio Wieki Somers was founded in 2003 by Wieki Somers and Dylan van den Berg, who both studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the late 1990s. The studio's oeuvre is distinguished by material sensitivity, technological ingenuity and fantasy. The studio works for a wide variety of international clients and has received numerous awards. The studio's works are part of several museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
