1861-1913
Study of a Goat

signed J. Crawhall (upper left); inscribed to W. Paterson from J. Crawhall (on the reverse)
watercolour heightened with white on buff paper

Condition Report:
The work is executed on a sheet of buff coloured paper which has been laid down on to a backing card. The upper and right hand edge are slightly unevenly trimmed. The work appears to be in very good overall condition. Some light staining in places. There is what appears to be a faint vertical crease running through the centre left of the sheet. Some specks of surface dirt and matter and a few faint foxing marks. Some possible rubbing to the sheet in places particularly the lower edge.

The work is framed under glass and held in a decorative reeded wooden frame.
