A stunning upper portion of an Egyptian sarcophagus lid, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, with handsome features, wearing a striated wig and multiple broad collars. The pigment is beautifully preserved and vibrant, and this sarcophagus portion has been professionally conserved and mounted on a custom metal base, with a wall mount attachment added to the back as well. 30 1/2 x 19 1/2 in (77.3 x 49.4 cm). A large and impressive example and a fantastic display piece!
