Amazing and eye-catching sugar bowl in Italian silver, with a plant-themed knob on lid, bird-shaped handles and a fine decoration with stylized leaves on edge. Made in the mid-20th century in Florence, by silversmith Pampaloni. Pampaloni is a famous Florentine silversmith founded in 1902, still active today. Hallmarks: Pampaloni logo, 800, 176 FI. Dimensions: 12. 5 x 20 cm Overall weight: 426 grams This item underwent a special treatment called “zapon painting” to creates a protective layer to external agents. It does not tend to oxidize over time, but has a slightly yellowish patina as compared to usual silver items.
