Sugar box - .813 silver - Germany - First half 19th century

Sugar box in finely crafted silver, resting on four feet, hidden hinges and central button closure. The lid is embellished with the application of handmade leaves. With some words engraved on the lower lid. Hallmarked on the bottom. With minor signs of ageing. It closes smoothly. The silver surface is still bright despite the years, and shows a nice patina. Free of visible damages (at the naked eye and under magnifying glass) In excellent condition, probably never used, unrestored and unchanged. This kind of boxes was common in the residencies of the Italian aristocracy in the last century.
