With only five Martian meteorites having been witnessed falling to Earth, material from such events is exceedingly rare. The Tissint meteorite, which fell on July 18, 2011, represents such a find. Tissint is the only witnessed Martian meteorite fall in the last sixty years. The present offering displays a face of grayish coloration, punctuated by inky scrawls of black providing contrast of hue. Here is a superb specimen of a Martian Shergottite.
