DESCRIPTION: Antique bronze jardiniere by Suzuki Chokichi (Kako) featuring four feet fashioned ast dragons holding the vessel's base. Piece sports dragon and hou-ou (fenghuang/"Chinese phoenix") reliefs on opposite sides and dragons flanking triple flaming jewel reliefs on sides bearing handles. All reliefs are set against elaborately crafted patterned tile backgrounds framed in wave patterns. Marked on underside "Great Japan Tokyo Kak? Make".
