Vols. I & II are first American editions; Vol. III is the first edition.

The first two volumes were published in 1909, both in Britain and the United States; the third volume was published in 1913, in both countries. Hence the occasional amalgamated edition, as with the present set.
Condition Report: American editions in quite nice, fresh condition, with a little extremity rubbing, spine foot of Vo1 l. II with 1" tear; Vol. III spine faded, ends and corners worn, a few small stains to covers; overall very good.
