Svetlana Bogacheva; A white egg, 2017; mosaic, glass mosaic; 19x9.5x9.5cm

"White egg", there is a signature on the stand, the mosaic is made on a wooden base, the stand and the egg are separated, which allows you to enjoy not only the appearance, also the tactile feeling of the texture of smooth and cool glass. Some pieces of the mosaic have a mother-of-pearl sheen, and when the light falls on them, they shimmer like a rainbow.
Concept: A delicate combination of blue and turquoise colors on a white background symbolizes winter. A real, snowy, cold winter with high white slides and ice sculptures. Frosty patterns on the glass inspired the author to create this mosaic.

Svetlana Bogacheva was born in the warm and good-natured Tashkent-the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since childhood, she dreamed of visiting Russia, the homeland of her ancestors, and moved here in 2009. In 2012, she got a job in a mosaic studio. There, participating in interesting projects, she learns all the subtleties of mosaic craft. After 6 years of active work with mosaics for interiors, Svetlana begins to create the first series of three-dimensional mosaics in the direction of modern art. In 2020, she successfully enters the School of contemporary art "Free Workshops" of the MMSI. To this day, Svetlana lives and works in Moscow.
