TABLE D'ACCOUCHÉE

Louis XV, Paris ca. 1750/60.

Rosewood and purpleheart, inlaid in lozenges and rectangular reserves. Curved legs with sabots. Removable upper part with short, curved legs with brass scrolled feet and lateral carrying handles. The top, edged in brass, with two lateral hinged covers opening up into compartments lined on the inside with pink silk. In-between, a hinged writing and reading support, lined with green leather, over a narrow drawer. The lower part with a lateral drawer. Gilt bronze mounts. 1 small key.

72 × 39 × 73 cm.

Leather, stained and with losses. Missing parts in the veneer. Requires some restoration.
