The 1500 series is considered the "love child" between the Tag Heuer 2000 and the Tag Heuer 1000 and combines the best elements of both models. Over time, numerous variants have been produced in different colorways. Although the 1998 1500 series has been on the market for almost 10 years, it is essentially identical to the 1990 introductory version.

This 159. 306 is very special because it is the largest (or jumbo) version of the 1500 series. These did not sell as often as the smaller models, making them rarer. Especially the gmt versions
