The report includes: the capture of Beisan, "One of the German Officer prisoners gave a harrowing account of the appalling state of demoralisation of the Turkish columns on the retreat from Nablus. Our bombing planes had given them no peace day or night." The attack on Deraa, "Lawrence's Arab Force is in area and will co-operate with us." Deraa being the sc ene of Lawrence's much debated rape. On 28th September Green reports that he "met Colonel Lawrence with some of his Arab Irregulars."
