THANGKA DEPICTING AVALOKITESVARA SHADAKSHARI QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY 清 四臂觀音å”å¡ seated on a multi-coloured lotus throne, the white-bodied chaturbhuja deity holds a sinuous lotus and mala with two hands, additional two folded in anjali mudra, elaborately adorned with necklaces, bangles and crown, wears a colourful patchwork dhoti detailed in various patterns, flanked on either side by two attendant deities Manidhara, the Jewel Holder, and Shadaksari Mahavidya, who reflects him in female form, above them a pair of makara decorated the throne and surmounted by zeepa above a Buddha, orderly surrounded by a divine entourage and lineage masters (88.54cm x 74.5cm) Qty: (1) Provenance: Private London collection
