[THE DIRTY DOZEN]: SAVALAS TELLY: (1922-1994)

[THE DIRTY DOZEN]: SAVALAS TELLY: (1922-1994) American actor. A good vintage signed and inscribed 7.5 x 9.5 photograph, the excellent image depicting Savalas in an engaging close-up portrait study in costume as Archer J. Maggott, the fanatically religious and dangerously unstable convicted murderer recruited by Major Reisman as one of the Dirty Dozen, from the classic World War II action film The Dirty Dozen (1967). Signed by Savalas in bold black ink to a light area at the head of the image, ´Best wishes, Barry, Telly Savalas´. Four pinholes to the corners of the photograph, and a few small, minor creases, otherwise VG

Provenance: The present photograph was signed for Barry Cole, a British stuntman and body double who worked on Robert Aldrich's film The Dirty Dozen.
