An album containing 38 "Press" photographs of the proceedings of the signing ceremony on board the Missouri, 4to, each image 250 x 205 mm, some with stamped numbers on verso, most unmarked or captioned; together with a photographic reduced copy of two pages from the surrender document. Contemporary blue leatherette.

TOGETHER WITH: A collection of ephemera connected with the USS Missouri, including the Commissioning ceremony brochure of the ship 1944, The History of USS Missouri January 1944 to October 1945. , two Missouri badges and one lapel pin, 3 issues of the Missourian and two pieces of ephemera connected with the signing ceremony.

The photographs in Schwenk's album, appear to be taken by one of the ship's photographers and sold to members of the crew after the event.
