Tall slim 8vo. A paper toy book of costume with instruction sheet pasted to the inside front board and with the accompanying slipcase. Inside there is a hand-coloured aquatint cut-out male figure, a coloured aquatint background scene sheet and twelve sets of cut-out clothes and accessories. This item has 87 of 91 pieces tabulated below, all contained in separate grey sugar paper wallet sections with appropriate printed labels. All housed in the original half red morocco over grey boards and original grey paper covered slipcase with large hand-coloured aquatint label. Condition: The original slip case is worn, grubby and creased with some splits along joints, especially along the lower joint. The books is grubby where it has been exposed out of the slip case and the red leather is worn from rubbing when removed and replaced within the slip case. The loose landscape has been repaired, the fold marks professionally strengthened, there is light soft handling folds and light spotting; the figure has a damaged left foot, else all is good.
