12 piece grouping early dates from 1916-1932 award metals of including Theodore Newton Vail award and other telephone awards. Theodore Newton Vail (July 16, 1845 – April 16, 1920) was president ofAmerican Telephone & Telegraph between 1885 and 1889, and again from 1907 to 1919. Theodore Vail saw telephone service as a public utility and moved to consolidate telephone networks under the Bell system. In 1913 he oversaw the KingsburyCommitment that led to a more open system for connection. 1) Two Tiffany & Co 1917 Theodore Newton Vail silver metals. Original Tiffany & Co. cases. Metals (76.8 MM 191.4 grams 6.15 troy ounces each). Good condition. Case interior blueand fold out not attached. 2) Three Bronze metals of Theodore Newton Vail awards. Good condition. 3 inches wide. 119.4 grams (6.15) troy ounces each. Two in cases. 3) Silver Theodore Vail award loose and not in case. Marked S we believe silver, 134grams, 2 1/2 inches. 4) Three 1916 Telephone bronze pioneers awards 3 inches diameter.
