THIRD REICH ALLGEMEINE SS VISOR CAP.

Allgemeine SS enlisted visor cap made in a black tricot weave wool with no visible damage and very light aging. The black tricot wool center band also appears to be undamaged, and the white wool piping exhibits light aging. The "Totenkopf" is original, is originally applied to the cap, and retains approximately 45% of its silver finish. The SS eagle, however, is a reproduction. Black patent leather enlisted chinstrap exhibits only like wear with some light cracks, and with black painted steel fittings in excellent condition. The black vulkanfibre visor and brown crosshatch pattern underside exhibit only very light wear and aging. The interior is fully lined in a tan rayon with light to moderate staining. The head liner has an ink stamped size marking of "56", and a gold embossed "SS" runes in a circle is present as well. Approximately 35% of that emblem has flaked off and is present under the celluloid sweatshield, which is undamaged. The tan leather sweatband has light flaking, and light to moderate staining. Under the left side sweatband stamped in black ink is "K.L.-38", and there is a paper tag marked "Tuchmutze fur SS", Hersteller: 143" (which represents the maker of August Mueller), with a "RZM" and other information.
