THIRD REICH SA (STURMABTEILUNG) ERASED ROHM INSCRIPTION DRESS DAGGER BY J A HENCKELS ZWILINGSWERK SOLINGEN, good untouched example of a SA enlisted mans dress dagger with wooden grip having nickel silver eagle and enamel SA emblem inserted. Lower cross guard district stamped to the corner ?Bo?. Housed in its anodised scabbard with nickel mounts. Carved into the grip is a ?W? possibly by the original owner or the GI who brought the dagger home as a souvenir from Europe. Fine double edged blade with much of the original polish remaining. Blade with standard motto ?Alles fur Deutschland?. Reverse of the blade with the makers trademark and clear evidence of the removal of a Ernst Rohm dedication. Blade 8 ? ?.
