King George III era, hand chased Sterling silver teapot with a turned wood finial on the hinged lid. Also a wood handle. Engraved leaf and bunting patterns on the lid and top of the pot. On one side of the teapot is an engraved monogram "RV" and inscribed "To His Nurse". On the opposite side, engraved with a later date: "18th Sept 1867". Marked with lion passant (Sterling), King George III duty mark (1786-1821), London city mark and "O" with inverted shield date mark (1789) on the underside.
