THREE ARCHAISTIC 'CHILONG' BI DISCS
Probably Ming Dynasty
Comprising a mottled green and brown jade bi disc, carved in high relief with a chi-dragon and a phoenix in pursuit on one side, the reverse decorated in low relief with three ruyi heads; a jade disc carved in high relief with a sinuous chilong on one side, the reverse undecorated, the stone of pale green tone with russet patches; a jade disc carved on one side with a striding chilong and the reverse with ruyi heads in two rows, the stone of pale green tone with black and russet inclusions. The longest: 7.3cm (2 7/8in) long. (3).
