THREE GILT-DECORATED BLACK LACQUER 'LANDSCAPE' BOXES
Qing Dynasty
Comprising: a pair of boxes of square form with canted sides each decorated in gilt, the top of the cover with a scene depicting figures overlooking a watery landscape, the sides with woven panels; and a rectangular hinged box with a landscape scene painted to the top of the cover, and further scene to the interior of the cover, with a fitted silk case.
The smaller boxes 16cm (6 1/4in) square (6).
