THREE INDUS VALLEY BRONZE STAMP SEALS

3rd millennium BC. Indus Valley Culture. A mixed group of three bronze seals comprising: 1) a disc with two registers of semi-circles arranged around a central rondel; 2) A circular openwork disk arranged around an abstract zoomorphic motif, perhaps intended to depict a bird; 3) an openwork rosette. The Indus Valley Civilisation was an important Bronze Age culture which arose in c. 3300 BC and lasted until c. 1300, though its heyday, to which these bronze seals belong, was in the 3rd Millennium BC.
