THREE JIANYAO 'HARE'S FUR' TEA BOWLS, SONG DYNASTY (AD 960-1279)

Each bowl is covered inside and out with a blackish-brown glaze streaked with russet 'hare's fur' markings flowing from the russet band below the rim.
4 5/8, 4 7/8 and 4 7/8 in. (11.7, 12.4 and 12.4 cm.) diam.

CONDITION REPORT:
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of these piece acquired after their initial manufacture.

All:
-There is expected surface wear and scratches
-There are chips to rims.

First:
-There is a restored rim chip.
-There is a minor raised potting flaw to the interior toward the base, and one to the exterior below the mouth rim.

Second:
-There are chips and nicks to the mouth rim, one of which have been restored with associated overpainting.
-There are a few glaze gaps.

Third:
-The mouth rim has been polished with associated surface wear.
-There is remnant of glue to the interior.
-There are a few potting flaws to one side of the exterior buff body.
