THREE PHOTOGRAPHERS…
THREE PHOTOGRAPHERS…
André Kertész, William Klein, and Édouard Boubat (Exhibitions at the National Photography Foundation), 1970s–1980s.
3 vintage posters.
42 x 30 cm each.
Note: Bringing together André Kertész, William Klein, and Édouard Boubat, these three posters—published to mark exhibitions organized by the National Foundation for Photography—pay tribute to three major figures in 20th-century photography. Each, in his own way, profoundly transformed the photographic gaze: Kertész through his poetic sensibility and sense of composition, Boubat through his gentle humanism, and Klein through his bold, graphic, and resolutely modern aesthetic. These posters bear witness to the essential role played by the National Photography Foundation in promoting the recognition and dissemination of the history of photography to the general public during the 1970s and 1980s.
