TIFFANY STUDIOS BRONZE NO. 1752 / "CHINESE" INK WELL AND STERLING SILVER NUT DISH, LOT OF TWO, comprising a small size ink well with a dark bronze patina, octagonal form with four large sides having a stylized curved and scroll ornamentation, and each of the four narrow (corner) sides having Chinese symbols ornamentation, underside of impressed "TIFFANY STUDIOS / NEW YORK / 1752"; hinged lid opening to reveal a circular-form inkwell holder which is fitted with an original colorless glass insert. And remaining example a Tiffany & Co. figural maple leaf form nut dish, underside with a tiny ball-form foot rest and impressed "TIFFANY & CO / MAKERS / 2247 5 / M", tip of the leaf engraved with monogram "T". Tiffany & Co. and Tiffany Studios. First half 20th century. Sterling total weight: 1.165 ozt. Inkwell 3 1/2" H, 5 1/8" SQ overall base, 3 1/4" SQ overall top.
