[ translate ]

Property from an Important American Collection
TIFFANY STUDIOS
BUD VASE

circa 1907-1910
favrile glass
engraved 1703D L.C. Tiffany-Favrile
7⅞ in. (20 cm) high

Condition Report:
Overall in very good condition. The glass displays with scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions and minor surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The glass surfaces with some occasional extremely fine and minor surface scratches, consistent with age and gentle handling. The interior of the vase with some light surface soiling and some possible calcification, not visually detractive. As is commonly seen in Tiffany’s iridized glass, one area of the bottom bulb presents with some concentrated red spotting and slightly rough texture, inherent in the sprayed application of the iridescent surface treatment and not visually detractive. A very elegant vase with sculptural form.
