comprising a covered jar, humidor with wood liner, circular box, rectangular box, stamp box, playing cards box, double inkstand with two clear glass inkwell liners, calendar, calendar frame, pin cushion and glue pot

Condition Report:
Overall in very good condition. All elements display with light wear and minor traces of surface soiling, consistent with age and gentle use. The glass of the humidor with wood liner, rectangular box, stamp box and calendar frame appears to have been replaced at some point in the history of the pieces. The patina of the humidor with wood liner, rectangular box, stamp box, playing cards box appears to have been enhanced at some point in the history of the pieces. The lid of the covered jar with a small dent to the lower edge that has been stabilized at some point in the history of the piece, which causes the somewhat loose fit of lid to jar. The covered jar is complete with a gilt lining with an associated gilt interior “Grape Vine” lid. The gilt surfaces present with minor wear, surface scratches, and some minor surface soiling. The humidor with wood liner with some extremely minor accretions to the bronze surfaces consistent with age. The wood liner fits tightly and appears to be original. The circular box with some concentrated white residue to the glass within the filigree. The interior of the box is complete with a gilt lining that presents some residue, accretions and wear, consistent with use, and with some occasional minor dents to the interior rim. The stamp box with two small old breaks to the etched filigree, only visible upon close inspection. The double inkstand displays with some oxidation to the bronze surfaces consistent with age, and is additionally inscribed “LADY KATE” to the proper front edge. The two clear glass inkwell liners appear to be period. The calendar is filled with 1966 calendar sheets. The calendar frame is complete with a clear glass face. The pin cushion is executed in gilt bronze and yellow-white favrile glass and displays with some light wear and minor discoloration to the velvet cushion, consistent with age and use. The glue pot is executed entirely in bronze with a statuary bronze patina; the brush bristles appear to be original. This lot is offered together with a reproduction photograph frame in very good condition.
