TIFFANY STUDIOS | FLOWER FORM VASE
Property from the Andrew Shine Collection
TIFFANY STUDIOS
FLOWER FORM VASE
circa 1896-1897
favrile glass
engraved L.C.T./o7882
11½ in. (29.2 cm) high
Condition Report:
Overall in very good condition. When viewed firsthand, this vase presents with extremely delicate and finely articulated pulled feather decoration executed in vibrant orange which descends into a soft green-yellow ground. The glass displays with scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions and minor surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The stem with a very subtle bend just above the foot, only visible upon close inspection. The underside of the foot with two labels and remnants of a third label, and with a discretely applied accession number in red enamel, not visually detractive. A very finely executed and elegant form with great scale.
