TIFFANY STUDIOS NAUTILUS LEADED ART GLASS DESK LAMP, green and opal tiles within a copper-foil nautilus shell frame, raised on an adjustable base, signed to the underside with the Tiffany Glass & Decorating Company trademark, also stamped "TIFFANY STUDIOS/NEW YORK". Tiffany Studios. Circa 1902. 12 3/4" HOA.

Catalogue Note: Before purchase, this piece was evaluated by Alice C. Frelinghuysen, Associate Curator of American Decorative Arts for the MET. Also, the piece was discussed with Gary E. Baker, Curator of Glass at the Chrysler Museum. Alice verified this example as being genuine, and it was Mr. Baker's belief as well.
