Condition Report:
Overall in very good condition. The bronze surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and light wear, consistent with age and gentle handling. The bronze with some minor traces of surface soiling and oxidation concentrated to the recessed contours of the design, consistent with age. The pen tray with a small area of patina loss measuring approximately 1/8 inch diameter, and with some extremely minor wear to the patina to the edges of the pen tray, only visible upon close inspection. The hinge of the lid is fully operational but is slightly loose and displays minor side to side movement, stable. The original favrile glass inkwell liner is beautifully iridized and displays some extremely minor surface irregularities inherent in the production and not visually distracting, and with some very minor traces of adhesive residue.
