[TIPOGRAFIA MILANESE - CONCILIO DI COSTANZA] - Acta scitu dignissima doctequae concinnata Constantiensis (et Basiliensis) Concilii celebratissimi [edito da Zacharias Ferrerius]. Milan: Gotardo da Ponte, 1511. A fine copy with illustrious provenance of these two Milanese editions difficult to be found on the market containing the acts and decrees of the councils of Constance (1414-1418) and Basel (1431-1444) assembled and published by Zacharia Ferreris abbot of Subiaco. The work is of particular interest for the iconographic apparatus that clearly identifies the characters of the Lombard-Milanese woodcut of the early 16th-century. On the final leaf of the first work there is the great figure of the Council, as in the Harvard copy, while in other copies it is sometimes blank. 2 works in one volume, folio (284 x 192mm). Title pages within elaborate woodcut borders, full-page woodcuts on verso - the same repeated at the end of the two works - beginning of text in a2 and A2 within woodcut border. Early 20th-century vellum with the arms of the Prince of Essling, gilt fillets decorations, morocco label titled in gilt on spine, edges gilt and marbled (rebacked, lightly soliled). Provenance: Prince of Essling (1836-1910) - Libreria Antiquaria Mediolanum (label) - Arthur Lauria (label).
