TRUMAN CAPOTE'S THREE CAST METAL MICE WITH CARROT CANDLE HOLDERS
Three mice cast in metal with a dark brown patina, each modeled holding a carrot, the carrot in a contrasting reddish metal and its leafy top in a green patinated metal which forms the candle cup. The tails are long, ringed and separately worked. The three poses differ: one crouches low over a carrot laid almost flat, one sits upright with the carrot clasped against its chest, and the third leans back with the carrot angled across its body. No apparent maker mark.
