TVR - Taimar - 1979
TVR Taimar V6 3. 0L BM LHD from 1979 in good condition. Powerful, rare, reliable and spellbinding, the TVR 3000 M deserve to be rediscovered today. A chassis built for racing, a hand-crafted fiberglass body, a neat finish and blazing performances. The TVR Taimar was produced at 395 copies (all models combined) . This very, very rare Taimar is a left hand drive, manual transmission (4-speed) and with the original Webasto sunroof. The “chromalusion” paintwork is extraordinary (and very expensive) , it alternates green, purple and silver depending on the lighting. It is equipped with a V6 with 3000 cc (Ford Essex) and reaches 142 hp at 5000 rpm and 24 mkg of torque at 3000 rpm. Its performances are still very current with a 0 to 100 km / h in 7. 5 seconds and a top speed of 200 km / h. The Taimar is worthy of its reputation and its handling is surprisingly effective. Rigid, lively and precise, it can be placed at will at the entrance of curves and link turns with confidence. This model is in good condition, with French papers in the name of the seller. It has driven about 35 000 miles. Maintenance done recently by me:
- all of the suspension seals replaced.
- 4 (adjustable) gas shock absorbers: new- electric fans replaced with more powerful ones- new starter- ball joints, steering bellows: new- transmission seals: new- power brakes: new- carburettor + petrol pump + filter: new- clutch + stop + cable: new- oil change: engine + gearbox + bridge- MOT, invoices and important documents It can be retrieved near Tours or delivery within the whole of Europe is possible (against additional cost) upon agreement with the seller.
