TWO CARNELIAN AGATE FIGURAL GROUPS, THE MAN, WOMAN AND CAT GROUP, 18TH CENTURY THE SHOULAO AND DEER GROUP, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
The first is carved as a seated man and a standing woman accompanied by a cat. The stone is of a rich coral tone with translucent and dark inclusions to the underside. The second group is carved as Shoulao accompanied by a deer and a crane. The rich coral and white tones of the stone is cleverly utilised to accentuate the design.
