Two Chinese Blanc de Chine Quanyin figures comprising, one standing figure of the Goddess of Mercy in Dehua glazed porcelain, wearing a flaming crown, jewels, and holding a lotus bud, resting on a lotus base, having an impressed mark to the middle back, together with a bisque recumbent figure of Quanyin, wearing a bodhi leaf form crown centering the Buddha, jewels, and holding mala prayer beads, resting on a rocky outcropping framed by lotus buds, pods, and leaves, having no apparent marks.
Provenance: From the Estate of a North Carolina doctor.
Approximate dimensions: standing -- h. 19. 25", dia. 7. 10", reclining -- h. 12. 5", w. 18. 5", d. 9".
Condition Report: Standing -- 1/16" chip to end of lotus stem, no other cracks, chips or losses noted. Reclining figure having no cracks, chips, or losses.
