TWO CHINESE RETICULATED WHITE JADE 'DRAGON AND LYCHEES' BELT PLAQUES Yuan - Ming Dynasty 元至明 白玉龍紋方形珮及荔枝紋帶板 The square framed white jade, carved and pierced, adorned with a vigorous three-clawed dragon reserved against a background amid leafy branches issuing five lychees, the reserve is unpolished and showing the structure very clearly, with six double holes for attachment; the other of similar design, with two lychees, the reserve is unpolished and showing the structure very clearly, with three double holes for attachment, 5.5cm wide; 5.1cm wide - PROVENANCE: Private Collection, UK 來源: 英國私人收藏 - NOTE: Prototypes similar to these plaques are found in metalwork dating to the Yuan dynasty.
