TWO DUTCH DELFT BLUE AND WHITE PLAQUES, EARLY 18TH CENTURY

comprising a cartouche-shaped plaque painted with a biblical subject and an octagonal plaque painted with an amorous couple seated beneath a sculpture of Venus and Cupid, the octagonal plaque with star mark for De Witte Starre (The White Star) factory.

Condition Report:
The octagonal plaque, a section affecting area from the corner at 5 o'clock to corner at 8 o'clock, broken into three pieces and re-stuck, some slight areas of over-paint to front surface.
The cartouche shaped plaque with a restored crack from 5 o'clock to 9 o'clock, probably re-stuck, perhaps originally a firing crack which extended, some areas of fill. A short firing crack to rim at 10 o'clock.
