TWO FAMILLE ROSE BLUE-GROUND DISHES, 19TH CENTURY
Each dish is decorated on the interior with scattered roundels of flowers and fruits, all reserved on a purplish-blue ground incised with leafy scrolls. Each base is inscribed with an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
10 1/8 and 10 1/4 in. (25.7 and 26 cm.) diam.
CONDITION REPORT:
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
One dish:
-There are three shallow chips and four hairline cracks to the mouth rim.
-There is very light surface abrasion to the enamel.
Other dish:
-There are two polished shallow chips to the mouth rim.
-There are a few kiln grit adhesions and burst glaze bubbles to the foot and the base.
-The blue enamel on the interior is slightly misfired.
