OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1560
Each fragment decorated under the glaze in cobalt-blue, turquoise and bole-red with one with a flowering vine and part of a cusped cartouche, the other with a moulded edge framing a border of alternating cusped palmettes containing flowerheads, both mounted on wooden stands
Tile illustrated left 4 ¾ x 5 1/8in. (11.9 x 13cm.); tile illustrated right 5 ¾ x 6 ¼in. (14.6 x 15.9cm.)
