TWO LONGQUAN CELADON DISHES, MING DYNASTY, 14TH-15TH CENTURY
One of the dishes is decorated to the centre with an impressed flower spray, the cavetto is freely carved with vertical flutes. The other dish is decorated to the centre with a trellis design within a foliate panel, the cavetto is further carved with flower scrolls. Both dishes are covered overall with a green glaze except for a ring to the base which has fired red.
