TWO MID 18th C IRISH SILVER GILT CUPS, 858g
A near pair of Irish loving cups with similar decoration and identical double crests. Of a typical 18th century form the double handed loving cups are decorated with chasing and repoussee compassing engraved cartouches on each side. Both hallmarked for Dublin the makers are probably Thomas Johnston and the other possibly William Townsend. 925 standard.
