TWO MIRRORS WITH PAINTED WOOD FRAMES AND THREE MAHOGANY PICTURE FRAMES. American, mid to late19th Century. One mirror has arched molding, rounded corners, and painted in layers of old brownish-green and green paint with an old mirror. 16"h. 13"w. The other has rectangular molding, painted black and ochre, with ochre foliate stenciling on the front cove and sides, a pine backing board and wire hanger, and a newer mirror. 14"h. 11.5"w. Frames are veneered. The largest with a scooped outer edge and flat frieze, dark varnish, bridle joints, and a brass ring hanger on top. The second largest with a shallow beveled profile and light varnish. The smaller with a shallow beveled profile. medium finish, and square nails. Largest, overall, 16.75"h. 14.75"w. Smallest, overall, 16.5"h. 12.5"w. Provenance: From the Collection of Peggy McClard & Randy Segotta (Weare, New Hampshire).
