TWO PALESTINIAN TEXTILE FRAGMENTS AND TWO EYE VEILS (BURQA)

Comprising two textile fragments and two eye-veils (burqas); the fragments, possibly from dresses (thobes), one deep red and mustard coloured with geometric cross-stitching alternating with yellow printed-cotton bands with pink flowers, the second, composed from orange silk-blend with a tall central panel of embroidered diamonds enclosing star/flower medallions in pink, yellow, green and blue, edged with zig-zag borders; two eye veils, one composed from orange chiffon with fringes of metal coins, blue and red glass bead strands, the second dark red burqa edged with metal coins.
