Comprising an icon of Saint Nicholas with life scenes, the border with raised gessoed decoration, at center Saint Nicholas as Bishop surrounded by eight scenes from his life beginning in the upper left corner with his birth and concluding in the lower right corner with his death, probably Southwest Russian, 15.75 inches x 11.75 inches (40 x 30 cm). Together with a bust image of Nicholas holding Gospels and delivering a blessing. With losses and restorations, 14 inches x 12.25 inches (36 x 31 cm).
