One is inscribed with a twelve-character poem, signed Xiaoshan; the other is incised with a four-character title, Taxue xunmei (searching for prunus in the snow), and an inscription incorporating a cyclical date gengzi, corresponding to 1840, followed by the signature Shaoxi shanren.
