TWO VICTORIAN TELESCOPIC "PLUMB BOB" PENCILS.

English, 4th quarter - 19th century. Two telescopic propelling pencils in the form of a plumb bob, with each section graduated to fit one inside the other when opened or closed. Circular body with attached suspension ring and chased floral decoration. Top of longer pencil stamped "S. Mordan & Co. No. 1874", approx. 3.5" open, 1.5" closed. Top of shorter pencil stamped "S. Mordan & Co. No. 1735, diamond registration mark for the 12th September 1873, initials "W" and "T" on side of registration mark (Walter Thornhill), approx. 3" open, 1" closed.
Condition Report: Larger plumb bob extends but pin doesn’t work. Smaller bob works. Overall good condition.
