TWO VINTAGE IRON "THUNDER MUG" SIGNAL CANNONS.
1) 7" tall x 3" base, 1.25" bore, octagonal. 2) 6" tall x 3" base, 1" bore, octagonal. Both weigh just over 7lbs each. Thunder mugs date back to the 16th century and were used into the 19th century. These two "ancient" examples probably date 18th to 19th century. CONDITION: heavy iron patina. (02-27714/JS). NON-GUN. $200-400.
