GABR DOPPELMAIEIRI MPP concinne traditus à Ioh. Georg. Puschnero Chalcographo Norib. A.C. 1730’, made up of 12 engraved and hand coloured paper gores, brass meridian ring (not signed by Jenig), graduated ecliptic, tropics and equator, reproduction engraved calendrical horizon rings, the wood stand with four turned oak legs, later cross-stretcher base?, various damage and marking to both globe and horizon, diameter c.200 mm, height c.300 mm, 1730.*** The oceans trace Dampier's circumnavigation of the globe marked 1688, but not Captain Cook's second voyage of 1772-5, which is shown on the Jenig edition of 1790. The coasts of Australia, New Zealand and Canada are incompletely mapped and California is a peninsula.
